Beverly Hills Seeks Data from Rental Property Owners
to Help Create Local Rental Assistance Program
The City of Beverly Hills is seeking data from housing providers on unpaid back rent to assist withfuturediscussionsrelatedtoapossible,locallyfundedrentalassistanceprogram. Inrecent discussions on the possible assistance program, members of the City Council acknowledged the tremendous adverse impacts felt by both tenants and housing providers throughout the pandemic. Inrecognitionoftheseimpacts,theCityCouncilheldadiscussionoftheproposed assistanceprogramatitsJune21,2022meeting. Inamessagesenttoownersinthecity,thecity requested information on unpaid rent: “Any information that housing providers can provide on unpaid back rent would be of great utility to the City Council. In order to facilitate the submission of this data, the City has created a survey.
AAGLA’s Income Property Management
Expo: A HUGE Success
    On May 24, 2022, the Los Angeles Area’s largest annual property
management exposition, the Income Property Management
Expo presented by the Apartment Association of Greater Los
Angeles, returned to the Pasadena Convention Center following
a two-year hiatus. More than 100 of the rental housing
industry’s top vendors were in attendance along with local area
real estate experts and thousands of income property investors.
Dozens of free seminars featuring renowned legal experts Mike
Brennan and Dennis Block, property management expert Patti
Widget, and experts from various other leading real estate

The Expo was kicked-off by presentations by Daniel Yukelson,
AAGLA’s Executive Director, and Jeffrey Prang, Los Angeles
County Assessor who discussed the many issues associated
with Proposition 19, the so-called “death tax.” Be sure to attend
