Apartment Association Attends Loyola Law School’s
Real Estate Career Fair

n Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022, the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles participated in the Loyola Law School’s Real Estate Career Fair at the Downtown, Los Angeles campus. Loyola Law School is part of Loyola Marymount
University, which is a private Catholic university in Los Angeles.
The career fair was attended by over 100 law students who interacted with approximately 20 different organizations from the Greater Los Angeles Area. Law students had opportunities to interact with various professionals in the real estate industry such as real estate attorneys, agents, and developers.
When students approached the Apartment Association’s booth, they expressed interest in learning about the Association, the resources it provides property owners, and of course, internships and jobs. The Association distributed information about its various outstanding lawsuits and about the various educational opportunities offered such as Certified Apartment Manager and upcoming webinar schedule.
Some law students expressed interest in real estate law, while the majority of others were undecided. The Association advised students that the multifamily housing industry will need eviction attorneys especially after moratoriums are fully lifted and property owners will begin seeking services from attorneys possessing expertise in tenant / landlord matters.
