s the moratoriums on evictions and rent increases continue along with constant changes in multifamily housing laws, rental property owners may want to avoid the hassles and consider selling their property or seek a property management company
to help them manage their properties. There are many options out there, but Lotus West Properties is a property management company that has been in business for more than 20 years and because they own more than 300 units, they will manage your properties like their own.
Lotus West Properties is a full-service property management and investment firm that serves the greater Los Angeles area. They provide leasing, remodeling of units, rent collection and helping owners with repairs, maintenance and capital improvements. Ari Chazanas, started in the multifamily housing business because his father had invested in apartment buildings, and he began managing his family’s portfolio at an early age before jumping into third party, professional property management. owners rights to collect rent are being restricted, Chazanas cautioned: “Be prepared to work extra hard. There’s always new requirements and the need for learning. It’s been complicated during covid with the rent issue delays and access to tenant’s units, because tenants are at home more and there’s wear and tear in the units.”
Chazanas is also a member of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles Board of Directors. Having joined the Board of Directors in 2021, he commented: “Now that I am on the inside, I can appreciate even more the passion of the people serving with me on the Board who are protecting the rights of all property owners.” He mentioned that the Apartment Association has a lobbyist, director of government affairs and is currently engaging in multiple lawsuits against the City of Los Angeles. Chazanas stated he initially had joined the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles, because “They provide resources, information, forms needed to be successful in this business, and it supports apartment owner rights.”
Whether you choose to keep managing your properties on your own or are seeking a property management company, the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles is always right here to help you with advice and recommended vendors!
