Joe the landlord is complaining to his friend, Harvey, about how terrible his life is, and all Harvey can say is “Ahh...could be worse”:
Joe said to Harvey, “last week my wife ran off with her tennis coach. All Harvey could say is, “Ahh...could be worse.”
Joe then told Harvey, “And my son was sentenced to ten years in jail for fraud.” And, once again, all Harvey could say is “Ahh...could be worse.”
Joe said, “And my daughter who is not married is pregnant.” And, Harvey responded, “Ahh...could be worse.”
Joe finally complained, “And now the Internal Revenue Service is auditing me, and said I owe them thousands of dollars!” With that, once more, Harvey said, “Ahh...could be worse.”
Perplexed by Harvey’s responses, Joe asked Harvey, “Could be worse – could be worse”? Tell me, Harvey, how could it be worse?” Harvey responded, “Well, it could have happened to me.”
